If you love to code, and are a student between the age of 18-25, you are more than welcome to participate in the Hackathon.

play_arrowWhat is the Registration fee for hackathon?

Glad you asked. Its completely Free!!!

play_arrowWill there be travel reimbursement?

Travel reimbursements capped to a certain maximum amount would be provided for participants coming from outside Mahatrashtra.

play_arrowCan we apply individually?

Unfortuanetly, No! This is a team based event and you need atleast 2 and atmost 4 people to participate

play_arrowWhat do I get by attending BitCamp?

Pretty much everything from socializing with fellow hacker communities. And yeah we’ll have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Most of all, you will gain an unparalleled learning experience and memories for a lifetime!

You will also get a cool geeky T-Shirt, Certificate of Participation and goodies!

play_arrowWhat all will the college provide and what do I need to bring?

Even though we will be providing extension cords, they will be limited. So, participants are requested to bring their own extension cords, Wi-Fi will be provided for all. Also the college will be providing proper food, snacks and beverages during the couse of the hackathon

play_arrowWill the idea submitted by a team be the same idea they will be developing during the hackathon?

Yes, the ideas submitted by the participants will be the idea they will be working on during the hackathon if the particular team is shortlisted. However, participants are expected to develop the entire hack during the duration of the hackathon only.

play_arrowSince there is no specific technology mentioned, are there any restrictions on using number of pre-built libraries?

There is no restriction to use any language, technology stack, or libraries. You can use any of them to create the web/mobile application. However, ensure that all the technologies you use are open source.

play_arrowWhat is the minimum team size?

The minumum team size is 2, the maximum is 4.

play_arrowWhat will be the idea selection criteria?

Maximum weightage will be given to the submitted abstract and its components. However, criteria like GitHub and LinkedIn profiles of participants taken during registration will also be considered. The decision made by CSI - RAIT with regards to selection of ideas will be final and cannot be challenged.

play_arrowWhat shouldn’t I bring?

Don't bring anything which can get you in trouble like weapons of any kind, drugs, or alcohol. If you’re not sure whether something will be okay, please ask ahead of time!

play_arrowDo I need to give demo for the product I've built?

Yes, you will have to present it to the judges for evaluation. Also, you get to be proud of what you've made.

play_arrowWhat is the registration procedure?

play_arrowWho owns the IP (Intellectual Property) Rights to the product that I have built

The developer/developers of the web/mobile application will have rihts and own IP of product. However, all code needs to be in public domain (open source) so that it can be evaluated by the judges

play_arrowWhat if I've never been to a hackathon before?

Then we're so glad BitCamp will be your first ever! It’s helpful to have some programming or technical experience, but it’s not a requirement.

play_arrowIf it is a team submission, does that mean all team members have to submit the idea online?

No, any one team member, who has provided his/her Hackerearth profile link while registration, can log in from their account and do the idea submission on HackerEarth.
